Frequently Asked Questions
FiWe, which stands for Financial Wellness, offers uniquely designed financial literacy resources to schools to prepare students for real-life financial decisions. Our programs are filled with tactile, hands-on activities that engage students deeply - a unique feature that sets FiWe apart from other programs.
A: We believe no age is too young to start learning about money, which is why FiWe begins at Kindergarten and continues through high school. Our programs are organized by grade level to align with students’ comprehension stages. Each course is structured and scaffolded so students build skills step by step - starting with foundational money habits in the early years and progressing to budgeting, credit, banking, investing, and career readiness in later grades. All programs are screen-free, standards-aligned, and supported by detailed teacher guides to make financial literacy engaging and easy to deliver.
A: Yes. All FiWe programs are standards-aligned, drawing on national and state financial literacy benchmarks such as the National Financial Educators Council’s Five Pillars and include clear crosswalks to math and social studies standards. Each course is grade-based and scaffolded to match comprehension levels, making it easy for teachers to integrate lessons into existing curricula.
A: FiWe programs are designed to be plug-and-teach. Schools receive printed student materials and teacher guides with detailed lesson plans, scripted notes, end-of-course projects, and crosswalks to math and social studies standards. Teachers also have access to training videos, guided walkthroughs, and ready-to-use Google Slides to support instruction. Because everything is screen-free and grade-based, programs fit seamlessly into existing schedules and can be taught by classroom teachers, specialists, or enrichment staff.
Currently, FiWe resources are available exclusively to schools. We hope to make our resources accessible directly to parents in the future. Meanwhile, we encourage parents to recommend FiWe’s financial literacy programs to their schools to ensure children receive structured and dedicated financial education in a school setting.
